Firm’s History

INDEGLIA & ASSOCIATES, Attorneys at Law, is a fourth generation law firm that was founded in 1915 by Benjamin Cianciarulo (1886-1947).  During 32 years of practice Benjamin Cianciarulo represented clients in over 60 reported appellate cases before the Rhode Island Supreme Court.  His trial prowess and legal acumen were legendary and as a result he was appointed Rhode Island’s very first Public Defender, an office he held and developed from his appointment in 1941 until his untimely death in 1947.

Today the firm is directed by Benjamin’s great grandson Vincent A. Indeglia.  The firm continues its tradition as a multi-service law firm with a focus on:

  • Business development, transactions, reorganization and workout for both the creditor and the debtor
  • Complex Trial work

INDEGLIA & ASSOCIATES, Attorneys at Law  also takes pride in the fact that it promotes pro-bono representation for many of Rhode Island’s neediest, dedicating numerous hours per year in such service.”
